Set up email on a Mac (Apple Mail or Outlook for Mac)

Have your server settings ready.

Apple Mail

1. Open Mail and choose Mail → Add Account.
2. Select Other Mail Account and click Continue.
3. Enter your name, your full email address and your password, then click Sign In.
4. If Mail can’t find the settings, enter them manually: – Account type: IMAP – Incoming mail server: your IMAP server – Outgoing mail server: your SMTP server – Username: your full email address
5. Click Sign In, choose which apps to use with the account, and click Done.

To check ports, go to Mail → Settings → Accounts → Server Settings, untick Automatically manage connection settings, and set IMAP port 993 (TLS/SSL) and SMTP port 465 (hosting email) or 587 (Business, Enterprise and Pro Mail).

Outlook for Mac

1. Open Outlook and go to Outlook → Settings → Accounts.
2. Click + and choose New Account.
3. Enter your email address and click Continue, then choose IMAP/POP.
4. Enter the IMAP and SMTP servers, ports and your password, then click Add Account.
