Check your disk space and resource usage

Log in to cPanel and look at the Statistics panel in the right-hand sidebar. It shows:

• Disk Usage: files, databases and email combined.
• Bandwidth: data transferred to visitors this month.
• Email Accounts, Databases, Addon Domains and so on, against your plan’s limits.

Find what’s using the space

Open Disk Usage under Files to see which folders are biggest. The usual culprits are:

• mail: your mailboxes. See Mailbox full.
• public_html/wp-content/uploads: images and media.
• Old backup .zip or .tar.gz files left in your account. Download them, then delete them.

Running out?

When your disk is full, emails bounce and websites can stop working. Clean up, or upgrade to a bigger plan. Your files aren’t affected by the upgrade.
