Activate a new .co.bw domain

New .bw domains must be activated from the BOCRA email before they work.

When you register a new .co.bw, .org.bw, .ac.bw or .net.bw domain, the registry (BOCRA) sends an activation email to the registrant email address. The domain won’t work until the link in that email is clicked.

Activate your domain

  1. Look for an email from BOCRA about your new domain. It arrives shortly after your payment is processed.
  2. Click the activation link in the email.
  3. Allow 2 to 3 hours for the domain to start working. In some cases it can take up to 24 hours (see propagation).

Activation link doesn’t open?

Activation is handled by BOCRA’s systems, not ours. Try:

  • another browser, or a computer instead of a phone,
  • copying the full link and pasting it into the address bar.

If it still fails, contact us and we’ll ask the registry to activate it for you.

After activation

Once the domain is active and has propagated, you can create your email accounts and set up your website.
