Transfer a domain to Webmart
Move a .co.bw or international domain from another provider using its EPP code.
Transferring brings your domain’s management and renewals to Webmart. Your website and email keep working during the transfer, as long as the nameservers stay the same.
Before you start
- The domain must be active (not expired past its grace period).
- You need the EPP code (also called an auth code or transfer key) from your current provider.
- The domain must be unlocked at your current provider.
- The registrant email must work. Transfer approvals for .bw domains are sent there.
Step 1: Get the EPP code
Ask your current provider for the EPP code. A simple email works:
Good day. Kindly provide the auth/EPP code for our domain yourdomain.co.bw so that we can transfer it to Webmart.
Copy us in at [email protected] if you’d like us to follow up.
Step 2: Order the transfer
- Go to Transfer a domain in the Client Area.
- Enter your domain name and the EPP code.
- Check out and pay. A transfer includes a one-year renewal of the domain.
Step 3: Approve the transfer
For some domains, a confirmation email is sent to the registrant email address. Follow its link to approve. Sometimes you’ll get a second email containing the key. Your old provider may also need to release the domain, so let them know you’ve started the transfer.
Most transfers complete within 1 to 5 days. We’ll email you when it’s done.
